Kristina Sedge – PR & Communications Coordinator
Hiya,
Kumusta ka na?? My name is Kristina, but most people call me Krissy.
I work for Bedfont Scientific, NewMed’s parent company, and I am the PR & Communications Coordinator. It is my job to create our company’s profile both online and offline, through social media, press releases, advertising and such and now I am also helping NewMed grow the same way.
I’ve been working for Bedfont for 2 and half years now, after graduating with a degree in French and Economics. The great thing about working here is that I still get to use my French, which I love – I’ve always had a passion for languages, even English! Which is why it is quite nice to put my writing skills to the challenge in my role. I am also very creative, I love arts and crafts and music – ways to express myself – and that is why I also feel I have a different approach in my work than most who might be more factual than emotive and as a bonus, designing the social media really gets creative.
I’m excited to be doing more on the NewMed side of things – NewMed has so much potential and it will be good to be part of the new wave that is PEMF therapy. A few months back I, unfortunately, tore the ligaments in my right ankle after I got my foot stuck in a pothole walking to work one morning – I was in agony. Thankfully I used PEMF therapy to help me heal and I am so glad to say that I made a full and speedy recovery!
A bit about myself; I am a foodie – I love trying new foods and learning to recreate my favourite dishes, whether they be starters, mains or desserts; baking is also a passion, as decorating the cakes is also another creative outlet. What’s more is I am half Filipino and very proud of my heritage and so I get to introduce people to this new amazing culture and their amazing food – Lechon manok, Ginataag manok, Pan de sal, Pan de coco, Adobong baboy, Halo-halo, Cassava cake … there’s too many!
Other hobbies include reading – I commute via train and so I have some time in the mornings to dig into a good book. My personal favourites are thrillers or books with a shocking twist such as The Sisters by Claire Douglas, The Girl On The Train by Paula Hawkins, Little Girl Gone by Alexandra Burt, A Gathering Light by Jennifer Donnelly and I’m a big fan of the author Harlen Coben!
Last but not least I am a massive gamer geek – I am currently playing Destiny!
But thanks for reading my rambles, and check back for some of the content I’ll also be uploading to www.pemfnews.co.uk too now.
Until then, happy reading.
Krissy
