Run, Recover, PEMF!
Are you working on your fitness this spring time? Or maybe you’ve got your eyes set on the London Marathon later on in the year and are searching for that perfect routine to prepare? Well, PEMF (pulsed electromagnetic field) therapy could be that little extra to help you reach them goals!
Many athletes have used PEMF for general wellness before and after competing, as well as using it to help them recover. The regular use of PEMF therapy enables muscles to work harder, for longer and can help them recover faster, which overall will help maximize your performance and when maximizing performance, you can reduce your risk of injury (as there is always a risk of injury when partaking in sports/exercise!) PEMF therapy is also a gentle way to stimulate the production of heat stress proteins before exercise, which prevents cell breakdown and wear and tear, as well as helping to speed up recovery from injury.
For the competitive athlete, this means more effective training and reduced recovery time between training. For the casual exerciser, this means less soreness the day after activity.
As well as being able to help you prepare and recover physically, PEMF therapy can also help you prepare yourself mentally. Therapeutic PEMFs have been shown to help with concentration and general wellbeing. Some PEMF therapy devices have programs that induce alpha state in which the mind is awakened, yet relaxed! We have also had lots of feedback in which people have claimed how PEMFs have helped improve their sleep, and when exercising and training it’s important that you get a goodnight’s sleep, as sleep is what rejuvenates and heals the body, giving you more energy in the day!
There are many different devices that could help you achieve your goals, why not get in touch with one of the team to find out which is most suitable for yours today by clicking here for some advice!
