Complementary Therapy Week – PEMF
This week is National Complementary therapy week, which is sponsored by Complementary Health Professionals (CHP). The aim of National Complementary Therapy week is to promote and celebrate all forms of natural therapies and therapies that are carried about by complementary therapy professionals.
Now, what is complementary therapy? Also known by different terms including alternative therapy, and holistic therapy. These are types of therapies that offer a different approach to conventional medicine. They are typically used alongside or as well as conventional therapies to help maximise the benefits.
Did you know that PEMF is complementary therapy?
Yes! PEMF can be and is often used alongside other therapies. By introducing a complementary electromagnetic field into the body through a PEMF device you can re-establish healthy electromagnetic exchanges. The effects that PEMF has on the body can even be enhanced when used alongside other therapies. This could include physical therapy, massages, acupuncture, laser therapy, and much more.
Anna said “I often use PEMF (Pulsed electromagnetic field therapy) in my physiotherapy treatments. It is known to help with decreasing inflammation and pain, increase circulation and oxygen in the blood, improve lymphatic drainage, help with healing of injuries, and even in aid with bone repair.”
Do you use PEMF alongside any other therapies? Let us know in the comments below!
